This house had so much potential. From the second I stepped inside, it just had these light bright vibes that I couldn’t wait to work with. The house was untouched since 1950 and had the most amazing expansive steel beam running throughout the main living space, allowing for a modern open living space. We raised the canopies of all the trees and cleared the yard to install a beautiful horizontal wood fence. We changed the windows, pressure cleaned the roof and house, and gave it a fresh coat of white paint.

Hands down, one of my favorite parts of this house is the perfect original wood door that we painted bright teal. The original wood floors were sanded, stained, and sealed, creating the perfect mix of a natural wood and grey tone. I installed a bright white kitchen, and three beautiful bathrooms. For the master bath, we used a classic honed marble basket weave floor tile and Carrara subway tile in the shower. In the kid’s bathroom, we used retro white hex and teal glass tile to complement the grey vanity. This light bright design is nothing short of California cool.
