I was contacted originally to style this client’s dining space. After the original job was completed she ended up listing her apartment and hiring me to completely design her new house. The house was small but just what she needed. This client traveled, loved to read, and had the best antique collection, so when designing her kitchens and bathrooms, I wanted these spaces to reflect who she was.

In the kitchen, two beautiful antique oil paintings of fruit helped set the tone of melding the old with the new. Being as budget-friendly as possible, we kept the original cabinets and most appliances, opting to add a very dramatic counter top and back-splash as well as installing a brand-new Wolf gas range. An antique rug from the owner’s travels was the finishing touch to complete the space. In the bathrooms we went with an antique style vanity and mirror, with modern fixtures and tub/shower. This gave the perfect mix of old and new transitional design style.
